Cotton fabrics which are designed, milled and woven specifically for quilting and home deco are generally a heavier weight than cottons which are designed for clothing. That doesn't mean there are more threads per square inch, but that threads used in the weaving process are thicker or heavier in order to supply warmth and durability for their purpose. Adorable Heirlooms only carries the finest cottons for clothing, so it stands to reason that we would carry only the finest cottons for quilting.
