100% Silk! Our Shantung is 54" wide and is virtually slub free (slubs are bumps that occur naturally in the silk cocoons from which the fabric is spun and then woven). This is a beautiful shade of deep, blood red. This wonderful shade of red is perfect for that special holiday ensemble because it is the perfect weight for blouses, purses and dresses!
TIP: Unlike Silk Dupioni, Silk Shantung is NOT washable [although I've heard that some ladies have washed shantung]. Shantung is made to be a dry clean only fabric, so make sure all of your embellishments are dry cleanable also.
